The Archdale City Council voted unanimously June 23 to rezone 1.57 acres at 4913 Archdale Road from OI (Office and Institutional) to B-2 (Neighborhood Business), a change staff said aligns with the city's Future Land Use Plan and could support future commercial activity at the intersection of Archdale Road and Trinity Road.
Planning Officer Matthew Talbott noted no formal development application has been filed; applicant Laxman Dahal confirmed for the record that he understood city code prohibits internet gaming within city limits. Council discussed but did not attach a special condition to the rezoning because existing city ordinance already prohibits internet gaming.
