The staffer listed milestones and near‑term dates: a preconstruction meeting for the Crenshaw Road contract (approved June 23) is being scheduled and construction is anticipated to start on 08/10/2026; public outreach and environmental reports are advancing in coordination with TxDOT; and a public meeting for one corridor is expected in fall 2026. "FM549, the anticipated construction completion date has been updated to January 2029," the staffer said. Consortium members asked questions about public hearing timing, environmental approvals and how project sequencing might affect local traffic and emergency access. Staff said they will continue monthly coordination meetings and circulate materials to member jurisdictions.
