The Rockwall County commissioners court approved a contract with cleanup contractor Servpro to repair flood damage at the county courthouse and authorized an initial payment of $99,713.19 due upon execution of the agreement.
Commissioner Lickden moved to approve the contract and payment, saying, "I make a motion that we approve a contract and the payment to Servpro for repairs to the courthouse and approval of the 1st payment in the amount of $99,713.19, which is due upon execution of the agreement." The motion was recorded as seconded by Commissioner Stacy and "passes unanimously by those present," the presiding officer said.
The item was presented as agenda item 2 and described by the presiding officer as a response to "the flood at the courthouse." The approved first payment is to be made at contract execution; the transcript does not record further implementation details, a contract term length, or which county department will oversee the repairs.
After the vote the court moved on to a later agenda item and adjourned at 1:02 p.m.
