The McIntosh Town Council unanimously adopted Resolution 2024-02, adopting the Marion County Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan, at its Sept. 17 meeting. Preston Bowling of the Division of Emergency Management presented the plan on behalf of Lt. McQuaig and distributed emergency-management handouts to the council and public.
Cllr Jones moved to adopt the resolution and Cllr Medeiros seconded. The roll call as recorded in the minutes shows President Ciotti, Vice President Mullikin, Cllr Deaderick, Cllr Jones and Cllr Medeiros voting "Y." The minutes record the motion as passed unanimously. The adoption aligns McIntosh with Marion County procedures for coordinated incident response and public information during emergencies.
The council encouraged residents to review the distributed emergency-management materials in advance of the town's 1890s Festival. No implementation timetable or budgetary numbers were specified during the presentation.
