Council reviews $3.2M in water and wastewater capital projects funded from enterprise funds

Staff said enterprise revenues include roughly $8 million from water, $6.1 million from sewer and that the water/wastewater fund will use roughly $2.85 million of fund balance as one-time cash flow for capital projects. Key proposed projects included rehab phase work, $400,000 for meter register replacement, $250,000 for Avenue G waterline and hydrant improvements, $250,000 for wastewater treatment aeration-basin assessment and $500,000 for collection-system rehab, totaling about $3.2 million.
Staff confirmed these projects are funded from the water fund rather than by state grants; council requested project-level detail and locations for upcoming work and asked staff to list the new projects separately in the CIP listing.
