Clarksville council elects Ryan Ramsey president, fills boards and committees for 2025

At its Jan. 7 organizational meeting the Clarksville Town Council elected Ryan Ramsey president for 2025, named Bob McEwen vice president and Karen Henderson secretary, and confirmed a slate of reappointments and citizen nominees to municipal boards and commissions.
Ryan Ramsey was installed as town president for 2025 after a council nomination and roll-call vote. Clerk Treasurer AD Stonecipher, presiding temporarily, confirmed a quorum and called the vote; Ramsey thanked colleagues after the council recorded six ayes and one abstention.
The council also unanimously approved Bob McEwen as vice president and confirmed Karen Henderson as council secretary. Members moved through a large slate of appointments: the Plan Commission (Jennifer Voyner, Tony Munich, Damon Smith), Board of Zoning and Appeals replacements, building-commission reappointments, redevelopment commission and authority seats, and other advisory committees. AD Stonecipher explained the office of president oversees agenda-setting, commission appointments and interagency agreements. "As executive officer...I am called upon the Indiana code to act as presiding chairman over the town council until it elects one of its own as chair," Stonecipher said during opening remarks.
