Mayor, clerk report auditors onsite Aug. 20 and budget hearing scheduled Aug. 27; city balance reported

Mayor Wanda Irish said auditors will be in Harrison Aug. 20 for FY24 fieldwork and ALTA Science will sample the city beach Aug. 26; City Clerk/Treasurer Miriah Pfeiffer reported a current balance of $36,701.68 and announced a budget hearing for Aug. 27 at 5:00 PM.
At the meeting Mayor Wanda Irish reported that auditors will be in Harrison Aug. 20 to perform fieldwork for the FY 2024 audit, and that ALTA Science will collect samples at the city beach on Aug. 26, with laboratory results expected in late fall.
City Clerk/Treasurer Miriah Pfeiffer reported current cash of $36,701.68, reconciled May–July bank statements, noted property tax revenue received of $35,906.40, highway user fees of $9,448.00, and a reimbursement of $5,627.32 related to a prior withholding dispute with Kootenai County. Pfeiffer also announced that a budget public hearing notice will be published Aug. 13 and 20 with the hearing scheduled for Aug. 27 at 5:00 PM at the Harrison Senior Center.
