Stafford Center announces Blue Oyster Cult, cultural and international acts this fall

Brian Blum updated the board on Stafford Center operations and upcoming events, saying roof and lighting projects are near completion and listing bookings through October. "This Saturday, August 1, we are featuring for the first time ever legendary rock band Blue Oyster Cult," Blum said. He also announced a Marathi-language cultural play on August 15; a Hindi musical on Sept. 5; Mission Souls from the Philippines on Sept. 6; the Hispanic Heritage Alliance event Sept. 12; comedian Ahmed Tandon on Sept. 13; and an international powerlifting event (Avankus) Oct. 3–4 with roughly 96 international entries.
Blum described operational challenges during ongoing repairs — including recent leaks and lighting corrosion — and praised staff for managing projects while maintaining bookings. The board thanked staff and volunteers and encouraged continued promotion of Stafford Center events to support local businesses.
