During the public utilities report, Councilor Hoover alerted residents that customers who previously opted into a water line and sewer coverage program will receive renewal emails and that the renewal is automatic unless a resident opts out. She said her checks indicated rates appear to be "relatively the same" as last year and that the program is rolling out renewal notifications in late January into February.
Hoover also said the program now offers an inside-plumbing coverage option for an additional $9.99 per month and directed residents with questions to contact City Manager Jim Mavromatis or the clerk. "They are now also offering inside plumbing work for an additional 9.99, a month," Hoover said. Council did not take formal action on the matter during the meeting.
