Board told bids will be released this week for athletics and later phases of renovation

Superintendent presented a one-page timeline linking project packages and cash flow, saying the district split work into phases so voters would not face a tax spike and so work could proceed in stages. He described an athletics package (Earl Brothers Field, press box, bleachers, related electrical work, ball barn, baseball field and Millersville playground) as the first package and said select elements—such as the softball field—will finish later to allow grass to establish.
"We're actually going out for bid on Wednesday," the Superintendent said, adding that bid documents will be released to contractors and award recommendations will come to the board in October. He said CTE additions and high-school renovations will follow about a year later and that the district plans elementary furniture purchases this summer and will time bus purchases and technology spending as part of ongoing cash flow planning.
The Superintendent said spreading work across series and blending series 1 and series 2 components helped keep the project at a "0 tax increase" design. Board members asked about sequencing and were told project managers and oversight (including Brett Bollinger and the new project manager) will check in with the board in October and be available to answer contractor or timeline questions.
