Director to attend regional conferences; staff coverage planned
Summary
The library director will attend a Tri Conference (Oct. 1-3 in North Dakota) and an SDLA branch-out in Sioux Falls (Sept. 29). She said Kim and Cassie will provide coverage and she will be reachable by phone and email while away.
The library director told the board she will attend professional development events in late September and early October and arranged staff coverage while she is away.
"I did sign up for the Tri Conference... I will be gone, October 1 through October 3," the director (speaker S2) said, noting the Tri Conference rotates among North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota and includes national authors and speakers. She also said she will attend an SDLA "branch out" one-day event in Sioux Falls on Monday, Sept. 29. The director said she will have email and phone access while at the conference and that Kim and Cassie will man the downtown branch in her absence.
The board did not take action on staffing beyond confirming the director will be out and that coverage plans are in place.
