Library director previews fall programs: story time, weekly Makerspace, tween pizza nights

The Dell Rapids Library director outlined an expanded fall program lineup, saying story time has returned and Makerspace will run on a regular weekly schedule for a month to improve attendance.
"Fall story time is back... story time is back Monday and Tuesday mornings, through the month of October," the library director (speaker S2) said. She described a Makerspace pilot: rather than occasional "pop-up" sessions, Makerspace will be offered weekly for a month so participants can expect a consistent schedule. The director described a 3D-printer demonstration and crafts that drew about 25 children across the session.
The director also highlighted tween programming and sponsorships: "Double digits and Team Takeover is back... It's Pizza Ranch Pizza sponsored by the Friends of the Library and, Mafia," she said, noting food has been an effective motivator for participation. The director said adult programs are restarting as well; a vendor-led room-spray session drew roughly 12 participants at a recent event.
