"We prefer to do that student discipline hearing down the hall for the dignity of the family," the Chair said as the motion was made and a roll-call vote followed. Board members recorded unanimous approval to convene in closed session. The board indicated the closed session would last roughly 25 to 45 minutes and that decisions about the student would be made there and announced upon return if appropriate.
