Residents raise police-records access and traffic concerns at Chamblee work session

Two members of the public used the comment period to raise separate concerns. Raymond Richardson (Speaker 14) described repeated encounters with police while working from a Chamblee storage site and said he had difficulty obtaining body‑cam footage or records on USB from the department. "So the police said he was there a little bit too long so he said, the next time he there, he was gonna blame for burglary," Richardson said, and city staff indicated someone from the police department would follow up after the meeting.
Arline Chestnut Lehi (Speaker 13), who said she lives about 1.5 miles from the Claremont/Briarcliff site, welcomed investment but warned about traffic impacts along the Claremont/85 interchange and asked that the city coordinate with DOT to reduce neighborhood traffic pressure. Staff and council acknowledged both public-safety follow-up and continued review of traffic and access as part of the annexation and rezoning process.
