Staff backs revised site plan for 4900 Peachtree Road, recommends approval with condition

After a December deferral, staff said a revised site plan for 4900 Peachtree Road (submitted Dec. 15) addresses circulation and pedestrian-safety concerns, recommending approval if the project is built in substantial conformity with the revised plan dated 12/15/2025.
Staff presented an update on a previously deferred case for 4900 Peachtree Road and focused on changes submitted Dec. 15. Matt Adams (Speaker 9) said the revised plan includes a landscaped island, directional striping and pedestrian markings that "adequately address circulation" and recommended approval of the rezoning and related variance and waiver requests with the condition that the development be constructed in substantial conformity with the revised site plan dated Dec. 15, 2025.
Staff also noted a possible additional condition requiring three compact parking spaces be identified on site; council took the update under advisement and did not vote on the item at the work session.
