Board honors state-champion athletes, band and local veterans

Superintendent Willis opened a series of recognitions celebrating student and staff achievements. He announced Pleasant Valley High School and coach Jennifer Mann as three-time 2A volleyball state champions and invited the team forward. Coach Jennifer Mann (speaker 5) described her players and praised their character and teamwork: "These girls have been a joy to coach."
Willis also recognized veterans among school employees by name and introduced Jared Holland (speaker 6), the band director, who described the marching band and its leadership. Holland said he appreciated the invitation and introduced students and staff members present; the board took photos and offered public congratulations.
