District official reports turf and field projects progressing, cites septic lines and weather delays

On project specifics, Dr. Dowdy reported crews had to truck fill into Wellborn and that Weaver’s baseball/softball construction was delayed after crews discovered septic lines in the outfield. "We did not know that there were septic lines in the outfield of those 2 fields," he said, explaining the rework and rerouting required. He told trustees turf installation typically takes a few days once the base work is complete and said the district will hold contractors accountable for cleanup and punch-list items.
