State auditors give Calhoun County Board of Education a clean audit, report no findings

Misty Beam of the Alabama Department of Public Examiners presented the district's annual audit and said the office issued “an unmodified opinion on the board's financial statements for the year ended 09/30/2025,” and on the major federal financial assistance programs covering the special education cluster.
Beam told the board the audit was conducted under generally accepted auditing standards and applicable federal guidance and that the reports — published 04/17/2026 — are available on the Examiners' website. She said there were no findings in the audit report and invited any questions to the examiners' Montgomery office.
