Board approves superintendent recommendations on personnel, contracts and athletics logos
Summary
The board unanimously approved multiple superintendent action items including personnel recommendations, employee contracts, service contracts for enrichment and reading intervention (with specific school exceptions), and permission to place district logos on athletic turf fields.
After reconvening, Superintendent Mister Willis presented several action items. He recommended personnel tab 1 (multiple personnel changes) and a single item under personnel tab 1a; Willis also recommended approval of three employee contracts and contracts for music enrichment and reading intervention services covering most schools but excluding White Plains and Sax. For each item Willis said he "recommend[ed] those as listed" and the board moved, seconded and approved the recommendations.
The board also approved a request to place the district logo on baseball and softball turf projects. The motions were recorded and passed by voice vote with no recorded opposition. The superintendent's office will implement personnel changes and proceed with contract execution as approved by the board; procurement or contract administration details will be handled by district staff and reported back as required.
