Matthew Morris, identified in the minutes as "Conservation Easement & Data Specialist of the Lakes Region Conservation Trust," informed the commission that mountain-biking activity has been observed on the Weeks Conservation Easement over the past two years and that such activity is not permitted by the easement terms. Morris asked to attend a meeting to discuss strategies for redirecting riders to areas of the Belknap Mountains where biking is allowed.
Vice-Chair Gary Geoffroy noted he had hiked the area with absent member Doug Hill and observed minimal impact; Sandra Hart agreed to review the easement text and email it to members so the commission can discuss the issue at the next meeting. The minutes record members were welcome to have Morris attend a future meeting to discuss potential mitigation or outreach strategies.
