The commission recommended approval of a Standard Dredge and Fill Wetlands Permit for Lee H and Virginia Pierce at 153 Weirs Road (Tax Map & Lot #223-032.100) to convert an existing permanent pipe-supported dock to a piling-supported structure and remove the "L" end to result in a 6-foot by 129-foot dock.
The proposal also included four fender pilings, three ice-protection clusters, two seasonal boatlifts and two seasonal personal watercraft lifts adjacent to the dock. Vice-Chair Gary Geoffroy read the application materials; the commission found the proposal reasonable and approved a motion by Geoffroy, seconded by Steven Peckham, to recommend approval with standard siltation measures. The minutes record the motion carried with all in favor.
