Highway committee approves 2026 Hot Mix Asphalt bid specs, sets March deadlines

The Calumet County Highway Committee approved the department’s 2026 Hot Mix Asphalt bid specifications Feb. 4 and authorized advertising of the bid packet in the county website and two newspapers during the weeks of Feb. 12 and Feb. 19, 2026. Commissioner Chad Scheinoha explained the department will solicit Hot Mix Asphalt for its 2026 paving projects.
Bids are due Monday, March 2, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. and will be opened and read at 9:15 a.m. on the same day. The committee set review and award of bid results pending Highway Committee approval on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. The motion to approve the bid packet was moved by Supervisor Ronald Dietrich and seconded by Supervisor Ty Stuckmann; the motion carried unanimously.
