The Calumet County Highway Committee voted unanimously Feb. 4 to forward a draft “Sustainable Transportation Funding” resolution to the County Board for consideration on Feb. 16, 2026. Highway Commissioner Chad Scheinoha presented the draft and committee members approved sending it on for countywide discussion.
Committee member Supervisor Ronald Dietrich made the motion to forward the resolution and Supervisor Joseph Mueller seconded; the motion carried without dissent. The action does not adopt policy at the committee level but places the resolution on the Feb. 16 County Board agenda for debate and any formal vote.
