Two formal motions were recorded in the public minutes of the Feb. 2 special meeting. Mr. Walker moved to go into executive session "to consider the appointment, the employment compensation, of a public employee, specifically the appointment of the new city manager," a motion seconded by Ms. Hoover and carried after a roll call recorded as "All ayes." Council Chambers were then cleared for the private interviews.
After the executive session, Ms. Hoover moved to adjourn the meeting; Mr. McManamon seconded, the roll call was again recorded as "All ayes," and Mayor Ralph Petrella declared the meeting adjourned. The public minutes do not record individual roll-call votes or any public appointment action taken in the closed session.
