DDA approves Chamber grants: $3,000 for Taste in Fenton and $2,000 for Jinglefest

The Fenton DDA approved grant requests from the Fenton Regional Chamber of Commerce, awarding $3,000 to support Taste in Fenton on Wednesday, Aug. 12, and $2,000 for Jinglefest on Saturday, Dec. 5. Joy Scott, Membership & Event Director, thanked the DDA for its partnership and outlined the event dates when presenting the request.
Motion to approve the recommendations was made by Abraham and supported by Henderson; the voice vote carried with no opposition. The grants are intended to underwrite event costs and support downtown activations; organizers said fundraising and sponsorships will continue to be part of event budgets.
DDA staff will record the grants in the March budget materials and process disbursements per standard procedures.
