The Fenton DDA approved renewing the COVID-19 Business Marketing Plan'linked Yiftee e-gift card contract with Behind Your Design (BYD) for an amount not to exceed $9,750. Chelsea Mills, owner of BYD, said the program budget was adjusted to increase offerings while keeping DDA costs down; Michael Hart said the revised contract saves $3,450 compared with last year.
Hart told the board there are three planned events for the program this year (spring, summer and fall) and that the reported contract cost savings totals $3,450. The motion to renew the agreement was made by Knight, seconded by Bertschy, and carried by voice vote with no opposition.
Board members and staff framed the renewal as a way to expand program offerings without raising DDA spending. The motion authorizes staff to execute the agreement and proceed with the planned event schedule and e-gift card promotions.
