Board hears progress on high-school CTE and bid-pack construction

District construction consultants (speakers 9 and 14) updated the board on several bid packs for the high-school renovation and CTE additions. Bid Pack 1 site logistics and bleacher delivery are proceeding; Bid Pack 2 (lighting) is out for bid with a due date in late February and will return to the board with a recommendation in March; Bid Pack 3 includes the culinary/restaurant teaching space and other CTE changes that the team has value-engineered to reduce square footage and cost.
Presenters showed recent elevations and renderings and said the design-development (DD) set is moving toward a near-final 90+% design in mid‑March, with further professional renderings to follow. Board members praised the drawings and asked about schedule and pricing; presenters said they had received favorable feedback so far and expected to remain on schedule for September instruction.
