Superintendent Pat Little updated the board on capital-improvement items, saying the district is preparing to present a competitive-bid purchase for a new bus at the December meeting. The bus will include an accessibility lift and dedicated handicap seating, he said.
"We are getting ready to purchase another bus," Pat Little told the board and noted the district compared bids from three vendors. He also said the district is coordinating a new phone/PA system with visual safety-lighting upgrades and that staff are still identifying a product that fits the district's operational and safety needs. Civil work associated with the first bid pack is expected to be ready in December for the board's review.
The board acknowledged donations reported during consent (examples included $1,725 to cross-country from an anonymous donor, $500 to boys' tennis from Rebecca Plains, and $7,000 from the Booster Foundation) and approved the consent agenda 7'00.
