Matthew Larson, executive director of the Dell Rapids Chamber, told the council the chamber currently has approximately 73 members and is expanding programming and marketing to support local businesses. He highlighted recent successes including ribbon cuttings, networking mixers, and a well‑attended Quarry Days event that helped the chamber’s finances.
Larson said the chamber’s online outreach produced more than 300,000 post views through July and that he plans to roll out a Chamber Bucks program and a community app in time for the holiday season. He asked the council to continue supporting chamber activities that promote downtown businesses and noted Dakota Resources and state conferences have informed recent strategic planning.
