Kingston schedules site visit after Eversource right-of-way check at Tree Farm Landing

Assistant Conservation Agent Georgianna Minenna told the Open Space Committee that Conservation Agent Matt Penella spoke with an Eversource representative about cleanup at Tree Farm Landing and that Eversource had dispatched crews to inspect their right-of-way. “They didn’t find much trash and locked some of the existing gates,” Minenna reported, and the committee scheduled a site visit with the Eversource representative for Feb. 12 to determine next steps.
Minenna said the Department will use the site visit to assess access, hazards, and the scale of any volunteer cleanup that could be coordinated with existing town efforts around Earth Day. The committee discussed volunteers and possible coordination with other cleanup events but did not set a volunteer or funding plan at this meeting.
