Council previews ordinance assigning adjacent-owner responsibilities for city walking paths

Law Director John Gasior responded that the 'Whereas' clauses are not operative and that the ordinance's operative sections were written to apply generally, but he agreed to review and clarify the wording for broader application.
Demaline asked for changes to make the ordinance explicitly general for all current and future city-owned paths. Gasior agreed to review the language and report back at the next meeting so council can ensure the ordinance matches the intended scope before additional readings and possible adoption.
