Mayor Bryan Jensen said Ordinance No. 12-26 would authorize the Mayor to enter into a contract with Musco Sports Lighting, LLC to supply lighting and appurtenances for Veterans Park ball fields 1 and 3. He said the purchase follows Council's prior appropriation for the project and that Musco pricing is available through a cooperative purchasing agreement (Equalis).
Law Director John Gasior explained that Ohio Revised Code Section 948 allows the City to use pricing established through competitively bid contracts and that Equalis provided a competitively bid price, removing the need for separate advertising for bids. Parks installation timing was described as spring with completion aimed before the games begin.
