The work is to be completed in four phases. Board President Harry Paidas noted the foundation was established by John and Roene Klusch and said Scott Whetstone reviewed Phase I and encouraged considering matching funds to expand the project scope.
The motion to accept the proposal was made by Commissioner Jennifer Mastroianni, seconded by Commissioner Esther Whiteleather, and approved unanimously by roll call. No implementation timeline beyond the four-phased plan was specified in the minutes; staff indicated funding allocations in a handout entered into the record.
