Steve said the city budgeted $400,000 in 2025 for street sealing projects; about $217,000 was already committed to other items, leaving $183,000 available. He described several prioritized streets and said the list is included in the council packet; he noted 6th Street from State to Garfield would be the first omitted if cuts are necessary. "So if you approve, we can get more street ceiling done this year using Moody County's contractor," he said. Council moved to approve the $183,000 expenditure and carried the motion.
Council asked staff to prioritize the list in the packet and to confirm final scope with the contractor. The item authorizes staff to enter the work plan using a piggyback arrangement with the county contractor.
