Mr. Willis delivered the superintendent’s report and described midyear assessment data showing positive trends in several grade cohorts, particularly among some 7th- and 8th-grade students. He said the district has adjusted coaching and interventions based on the data and reminded the board that state testing would follow after the break.
Willis also told members, "We've been recently, notified of some very large grants that we're getting in our special ed department." He framed the grants as additional resources to support ongoing work and emphasized the need to continue coaching and instructional adjustments to sustain growth.
