Euclid showcases Hero Park improvements and multi-year city signage program

The planning director updated commissioners on Hero Park and a multi-year signage project.
The director described recently completed landscaping, lighting and seating at Hero Park as the second phase of a project with approximately $600,000 in improvements. "On November 22, Mayor Holzheimer Gayle, Recreation Director Max Stevens, and members of the community celebrated what is really the capstone of a $600,000 effort," the director said.
Separately, the department reported installation of new gateway signs and pedestrian directional signage intended to improve downtown wayfinding and include a business listing area; staff said the work is part of the city's master plan and could continue through 2027. Commissioners praised the signage and the lakefront walking trail improvements in informal comments.
