Board of Control excuses two officials, approves minutes and adds walk-on legal item

At its Dec. 15 meeting the Board of Control approved last week's minutes, voted to excuse Mayor Holzheimer, Dale and Councilperson Steele, and added a walk-on request from the Civil Service Commission for outside workers' compensation legal services.
The Board of Control chair called the meeting to order for Monday, December 15 and opened with roll call. The chair asked members to excuse Mayor Holzheimer, Dale and Councilperson Steele; the board approved the request by voice vote.
The chair moved to approve the minutes of Dec. 8, 2025, and members voted to adopt the minutes. The chair also moved to add a walk-on agenda item submitted by the Civil Service Commission concerning outside legal services for a workers' compensation case; Director Iaconis seconded and the board approved adding the item to the agenda.
The proceedings then moved to requisitions and routine purchasing items. No further procedural actions were taken before the board considered vendor payments and departmental drawdowns.
