Shade Tree Commission proposes website redesign to improve access to planting resources

The Euclid Shade Tree Commission reviewed mock web pages intended to make information about tree selection, FAQs and community events easier to find on the city site. The chair said she wants to "eliminate these buttons" and replace two-step navigation with direct links in a right-hand sidebar so visitors reach guidance in fewer clicks.
Commissioners asked that the mockups be prepared offline and sent to city webmaster Christine Vasquez for feasibility checks against the city's template. Jody Latwell, the city urban forester, cautioned the commission that the city cannot currently recommend specific contractors and suggested the commission focus on informational content and local nursery recommendations such as Meadow City and Creekside Collaborative.
