Near the end of the joint meeting, a supervisor moved that the board convene a closed session under the statutory exemption language cited in the motion to consult the county attorney and discuss three items: terms of a proposed economic development incentive agreement in the Ladysmith area, proposals received to provide executive search services for a county administrator, and terms of a county IT services contract where open discussion would adversely affect bargaining positions.
The mover read the motion specifying the exemptions and subjects; the motion was seconded and carried. On reconvening, members certified that only matters exempted by law were discussed and then adjourned the meeting until August 11. The closed session motion and certification were adopted on the record.
