Staff presented the special project report and described a separate checking account used to track building expenses. The campaign goal was reported at $284,000; trustees were told approximately $204,000 has been raised and that about $30,000 of donor funds are designated for the immediate costs to open the building. Staff described postcards and an every‑door direct mail flyer and said digital video assets are being created to broaden outreach.
On the grant and reimbursement side, staff said they expect a contingency reimbursement of roughly $150,000 but must document eligible expenses before the money can be drawn. "We were looking to raise $284,000. We've raised $204.39 something, so we're we're darn close to halfway," the Librarian reported. Trustees discussed continued outreach and tightened cost controls to close the remaining fundraising gap.
