Mayor appoints BGSU student to Tree Commission; summer concert series and community events announced

Mayor Rich Bingham on July 7 appointed Rick Hathaway, a Bowling Green State University student studying to be an arborist, to the Village Tree Commission; Council approved the appointment unanimously.
Bingham also highlighted recent and upcoming community events: Founders' Day on July 2 (reported as successful), the summer concert series (next concert July 16), a Safety Town graduation on June 26, and an ice-cream with the mayor, council and department heads at Whitehouse Park gazebo on Aug. 15. He additionally noted a new pharmacy opened in the village and offered condolences for the passing of volunteer Bryan Lauer.
