Whitehouse to get roughly $50,000 park grant; Cemetery Road resurfacing starts July 6

Municipal Administrator Jordan Daugherty told council Whitehouse applied earlier this year for state capital funds for the front wedge of the park and "it looks like this grant request will be funded," for about $50,000. Daugherty said improvements discussed last year will be completed in that front area.
Public Works Director Mike Hill said the Cemetery Road resurfacing project will begin July 6 and last one to two weeks depending on weather. Councilwoman Louann Artiaga noted parking-lot striping looks improved and raised concerns about darkness in the lot by the trail; Hill said he is reviewing those lighting and curb issues.
