The Tarrant Board of Education met in a called session on June 30, 2026. President Allen Bailey called the meeting to order at 6:03 p.m., and Dr. Sherlene McDonald, superintendent, presented several items for routine approval.
Board members voted unanimously on a sequence of motions: adoption of the meeting agenda (motion by Mrs. Laura Horton; second by Mr. Jesse Mendez); approval of minutes from the June 9, 2026 meeting (motion by Ms. Sheaka Collins; second by Mrs. Laura Horton); and the May 2026 financial reports, which included the General Fund, Federal Programs, Child Nutrition, the THS Construction Fund and individual school accounts (motion by Mrs. Laura Horton; second by Mr. Jesse Mendez). Each motion passed unanimously with four votes in favor; Board Member Debbie Hall was recorded absent.
