Council authorizes stormwater outreach MOU with Cuyahoga Soil and Water Conservation District

The Highland Heights City Council adopted Resolution 18-2026 on March 10 to authorize a Memorandum of Understanding with the Cuyahoga Soil and Water Conservation District and the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District. Finance Director Smith described the agreement as renewing services tied to the city's Phase II stormwater permit minimum-control measures and said the yearly cost will be $6,600, an increase of $600 from the prior term. Smith noted the cost is fully reimbursed by NEORSD, so the agreement is effectively revenue-neutral for the city.
The resolution was added to the agenda and adopted after Council voted to suspend further readings. Councilors did not request additional changes to the MOU during the meeting and recorded a unanimous vote to adopt the resolution.
