Liquor sales dip year-over-year in December and YTD, bureau reports
Summary
December liquor case volume and dollar sales fell modestly year over year and spirits operating profit and profit transfers were down for FY26 compared with FY25, bureau leadership reported to commissioners.
Director Louis Luchini presented December 2025 and year-to-date sales figures showing declines from the prior year. December cases sold were 129,163 compared with 133,302 in December 2024 (down 3.10%); December dollar sales were $23,100,994 versus $23,940,444 a year earlier (down 3.51%).
Year to date, cases sold were 738,066 versus 773,188 last year (down 4.54%), and dollar sales were $128,281,428 versus $135,294,681 last year (down 5.18%). Spirits operating profit for FY26 was reported as $5,475,155 versus $6,092,461 the prior year, and transfers to the general fund were lower year over year.
