Council approves five-year Stryker maintenance contracts for EMS equipment

The Power-LOAD lift and stretcher maintenance contract is not to exceed $10,417.60 per year (total $52,088) and the LifePak cardiac monitor and Lucas device contract is not to exceed $10,560 per year (total $52,800). Both resolutions were adopted unanimously.
Assistant Fire Chief Bernhard asked Council earlier in the meeting to suspend readings and approve the service plans quickly, saying Stryker had already repaired one stretcher this year and that timely passage would allow scheduling of necessary inspections and maintenance. "This equipment is directly related to patient care," Bernhard said, urging prompt action.
