Jimmy Lewis told the Pahrump Off Highway Vehicle Park Advisory Committee that the request for proposals for park construction work was advertised on Feb. 26, 2026 and outlined key dates for bidders. "Request for proposals advertised on February 26, 2026. There is a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting scheduled for March 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. and bids are due by March 26, 2026," Lewis said.
Lewis summarized Phase II grant closeout work, saying the final draw request and reports had been submitted and that the committee spent $59,863.85 of the grant. "We ended up spending $59,863.85 of the grant so we will be de-obligating $22,036.15," he said, noting the de-obligated amount will return to future OHV Commission funding rounds.
The committee was told that bids received by March 26 will be forwarded to the Board of County Commissioners for consideration on April 21, 2026, and that improvement and grading plans and portions of an updated drainage study specific to the OHV Park will be provided to potential bidders. Committee members emphasized that the published track layouts are guide plans and may change based on site conditions discovered during construction.
Next steps for the project include the March 11 pre-bid meeting and the April 21 BOCC review of bids; committee members encouraged interested bidders to review the provided plans and drainage updates before submitting proposals.
