Commission approves three agricultural protection-area resolutions for Harper Ward

A resident, Deanna Hardy of Brigham, told commissioners she opposed the protections, arguing landowners were already protected under the state constitution and warning against potential future restrictions. "Most of the people are not aware that they really don't need this agricultural protection area because they're already protected in the Utah state constitution," she said.
Following public comment, Commissioner Perry moved to approve Resolution 25-10 for Adams and Friends; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote. Commissioners then approved Resolution 25-08 and Resolution 25-09 in separate motions and voice votes; each motion was introduced and seconded during the same sequence of action.
