Administration outlines timeline to implement self-funded plan; aims to have cards by Oct. 1

A presenter told trustees the vendor's enrollment platform is largely built and that staff and the vendor will determine open-enrollment logistics with the goal of issuing member cards by Oct. 1. "We're about 75% of the way built on the enrollment platform... the next steps is your approval to to work with us, and getting all the documents signed," the presenter said.
Administration and vendor representatives said they expect a hybrid enrollment process with both virtual and in-person elements and that they will hold special sessions to explain centers-of-excellence and second-opinion processes to employees. Staff must finalize plan documents and timing with legal counsel, the trust and HR before public communications to employees.
