The board approved an expenditure not to exceed $40,290 to purchase additional licenses from Acelis Educational Services to support students requesting virtual instruction.
"This amount of $40,290 won't be encumbered by general funds. It will be coming out of our, student support discretionary block grant if approved," the superintendent said while presenting the item.
Trustees moved and voted to approve the invoice authorization; the item was presented as a targeted purchase to handle increased virtual-instruction license needs rather than a general-fund expense. No board member requested to pull the item from the consent calendar for separate discussion.
